![]() So far, so good with my WOC and like I’d hoped I’ve basically worn it most days. There is a slight squeaking in the chain that I tune into sometimes, but I’m guessing that’s something that eases with frequent use as the leather chills out a bit. The only issue comes when I need to carry around my camera as well, but hey – vlogger problems, right? Basically you have to make a decision and let’s face it, the phone always wins. I do decant out the contents of my normal purse into the zipped pocket, pouch and card holders, but in the bulk of the bag I can easily fit my phone, keys, a lipbalm and any other knick knacks I need like tissues or headphones. Oh and there’s a secret pocket stitched onto the back of the bag too – that’s my Oyster card home. The bulk of the bag is where I throw most things and then there are six card slots at the back. When you open the popper flap (which contains a pocket itself that stretches down the back of the bag), there’s a smaller pouch on the front, followed by a zipped pocket which I tend to put my pennies in, then another pouch that’s great for cash. Total all of this up, add a glass of champagne into the mix and there I had enough solid justification to make a purchase.įor all pricing and sizing info, I’ll link you up to this handy post that contains it all, but what I will say is that it seems a bit of an injustice to call it a wallet because inside is a maze of pockets and slots and card holders. It was also surprisingly roomy enough for my everyday essentials. It hung over the shoulder at the perfect length, could be worn across the body and doubles up as a clutch if you tuck the chain inside. It might have been the champagne talking, but I’m pretty sure that I swooned. So when I saw the Wallet On a Chain in black with grained calfskin (apparently the hardier of the fabrics you can get it in) with gold metal and a burgundy lining, it was love at first sight. I knew that if I was going to take the plunge I wanted it to be something classic a black bag with gold hardware that I could wear everyday. I asked if you lot wanted to see a mini review/first impressions and the majority said yes, so here it is… How it happened was a combination of a few factors including the fact that I had Ruth and Lily egging me on, we were in the south of France with CHANEL themselves on a press trip ( I know, is this real life?! When is that ever going to happen again?), champagne and the fact that I did the maths in my head and worked out that if I didn’t buy any makeup, clothes, shoes, bags, anything for the next couple of months years then it was sort of feasible. Years later and I have still haven’t given up on the ‘ Please can I be L.C when I’m older?‘ thing. ![]() Something that I never thought would happen, but I’ve dreamt about since I witnessed Lauren Conrad toting around a classic flap in literally every single episode of The Hills. ![]()
